Built by a K9 handler, for the people who rely on working dogs

K9King, LLC is a disabled veteran-owned, family-owned company based in the Tampa Bay area of Florida. We've been making gear for working dogs and the people who love them since 2016.

Who's behind K9KING

K9King, LLC was founded by a former K9 explosive detection dog handler with more than 30 years of service across military, civilian and federal work. After three decades of working beside dogs every day, our founder knows what gear holds up in the field and what just looks good on a shelf.

That experience is behind everything we make. A service dog tag has one job: to be read at a glance so the handler and dog can get on with their day. So we design ours to be clear, double-sided and built to last.

What we make

  • Service dog tags: metal, double-sided, with recessed soft-enamel lettering that resists scratching and fading. Sized 0.999 inch for small breeds and 1.25 inch for medium and large dogs.
  • Emotional support animal (ESA) tags: the same build quality, clearly labeled for ESAs.
  • Personalized pet ID tags: laser engraved to order in Tampa, Florida.
  • Memorial ornaments and gifts to honor the people and pets we've lost.

What we believe

  • Clarity over clutter. If a tag can't be read in two seconds, it isn't doing its job.
  • Honesty about the law. The ADA doesn't require service dog tags or registration, and we don't sell "registrations." We make well-built tags that help people understand your dog is working. Read what the ADA says.
